paul: Reading *psw9og I realised I probably spend more time listening to Podcasts than watching TV. Here are my 3 current favourites:

WNYC Radio Lab - I love this podcast so much. "Big questions are investigated, tinkered with, and encouraged to grow." Sounds about right, check it out.

The Bugle - Not sure this is everyone's thing, but it usually has me in stitches. Satirical, surreal, seriously funny.

Ruby5 - 5 minutes of Ruby news, twice a week. Nurph' said.

Neil: @paul Great recommendations; podcasts are a jogger's (and commuter's) best friend. Is that where they fit in to your life, too?

By the sounds of it, I'd be up for all of those; let's load up iTunes. I've been subscribed to the Adam & Joe podcast for yonks.

paul: I only commute across the landing, and I don't usually run alone so I leave the generic MP3 player at home. I tend to catch up if I'm doing paperwork or something similar, I certainly can't program and listen to anything that requires any level of attention.

Who else can we invite in to the conversation for some more recommendations?

Neil: @Oli, do you have a favorite podcast? We've mentioned Ruby5 (which will probably be of interest to you).

@paul, yes, same here, but I do know people who listen to podcasts whilst working - just how do they do that?
